Our Synchro Program began in 2014 with one Beginner level team consisting of 16 skaters. In 2018 we had proudly grown the program to 4 teams, made up of almost 60 skaters of various levels and abilities. Our next goal is to have a team attend the National Synchronized Skating Championships.
Synchro is fun and exciting, but also provides camaraderie among skaters. Besides being a ton of fun and a great way to stay involved with skating, participation helps skaters build social and teamwork skills. Skaters have the opportunity to show their skills, gain greater self-awareness, and enjoy an activity that they love the most in a team format. Skaters build friendships with other skaters and their coaches, which is a great way for your skater to expand their social skills and as well as the recognize the value of every teammates’ abilities in contributing toward a shared goal.
Your skater is not the only one who will benefit from participation in synchro. Moms, dads, grandparents, and siblings can attend competitions and cheer each other on, providing a bonding opportunity for the whole family.
